8 YPs were arrested on for their involvement in an armed fight that happened along Eunos Crescent on 11 Nov 2020. The 8 individuals consist of 7 men and 1 woman aged between 16 to 20 years old.
All 8 individuals will be charged in court on 12 Nov 2020.
According to the police media release, the police were alerted to a case of an armed fight at Eunos Crescent. Upon police arrival, a 14-year-old boy was found on the scene and claimed that he was assaulted by a group of youths.
It is unsure of the reason behind the assault.
After investigations, the police established the identities of the 8 individuals with the aid of the police CCTV. The 8 individuals were arrested by the police within 16 hours since the case was reported.
According to the law, anyone convicted of voluntarily causing hurt to others with a dangerous weapon could face a jail term up to 10 years and cane.
