A 15-year-old girl was reported being traumatised after she was molested by her own boyfriend while her mother was next door. It was said that the girl has been having nightmares since the incident. She has even started harming herself. She was then being referred to a psychologist for her condition.
Her boyfriend a 19-year-old Singaporean has pleaded guilty to his charges on 24 Nov 2020.
According to the court documents, the pair began their relationship back in Jun 2018. One month into the relationship, the boy went to the victim’s place. Both watched television together and the victim fell asleep. It was then the boy decided to slip his hand into her short and touched her.
The victim was said to be awake throughout the incident, she then pretended to be asleep as she was worried that the boy will do something even worse. The victim then pretended to be awake and texted her mother about the incident.
The victim’s mother then confronted the boy for what he did and he admitted to his offence.
The case was adjourned to 15 Dec 2020 for sentencing.
For his offence, the 19-year-old could be jailed up to two years , fined or caned.
