Lai Li Ting, 17. was charged stabbing her boyfriend’s father with a parang last year. She pleaded guilty with to count of voluntarily causing hurt to Mr Swaran Singh Ram Singh.
At that point of time, Lai was in a relation ship with Mr Singh’s son, Rammel Singh Swaran Singh, 22.
On 30th Sept last year, Mr Swaran was informed by Khoo Teck Puat Hospital that his son has been admitted to the hospital. Mr Swaran then proceed to ask Lai to pack his son’s belongings. She informed him that she would pass it to him in the evening.
Mr Singh met Lai at Marsiling Rise and Lai told him that he would pass him his son’s belongings behind the block. He then proceeded to follow Lai and she suddenly turned towards Mr Singh and slashed him. He suffered cuts to his left thumb, left index finger and right middle finger. Currently, the reason of the attack is unknown.
The case is currently adjourned to 13th July.
