18 Y.O M’SIAN DIES ON FIRST DAY OF WORK, FELL FROM LIFT SHAFT & BROKE HIS NECK

A horrific accident occurred in Sarawak, Malaysia. An 18-year-old had just started working in a supermarket. On the first day of work on the 11th, when carrying goods, he fell to the bottom of the third floor due to a failure of the freight elevator, and unfortunately broke his neck and died tragically.

The process was so horrifying that the video went viral on local social networking sites.

Accident

According to China Press, the accident happened in a supermarket in Bintulu, Sarawak. The monitor screen showed that the elevator entrance for unloading was full of goods before the incident, and during the descent of the freight elevator, several boxes of goods suddenly drop down and land on the top of the freight elevator, causing the machinery to stop functioning. 

The victim and his colleagues decided to risk standing on the top of the freight elevator to pick up the dropped goods. Unexpectedly, an accident occurred.

It can be seen in the video that the victim is standing on the freight elevator, struggling to pick up the goods and hand them to his colleagues. At first, the freight elevator was normal. Unexpectedly, just after the second box was lifted, the freight elevator suddenly fell sharply, and he also fell to the bottom. His colleague was stunned when he saw this. He was stunned for at least 5 seconds before moving, and looked down from the entrance of the freight elevator, but he broke his neck and died on the spot.

When paramedics arrived at the scene,the victim had no signs of life. It is understood that that day was the first day the victim went to work in the supermarket. 

His parents arrived after learning the news, but they couldn’t accept it for a while, and wept bitterly on the spot.
