23F here. Is it worthwhile dating a guy 16 years my senior?
A few months ago, I knew this guy S (39) from an event. He is divorced 2 years ago with no kids. We had similar interests and we chatted, knew each other better and started dating soon after.
As we aren’t official, I haven’t told anyone yet. I was really impressed by S’s level of maturity and intellect which far surpassed any guy I’ve known, including all of my exes and men older than him.
He also earns several times my salary. Within the first 2 dates, I already knew he is good husband material type. I feel secure, comfortable and enjoyed all my time with him. There are just 2 issues:
1. The big age gap. I’ve never gone serious with anyone more than 2 years older than me and so unsure what issues it will lead to.
2. He admitted he has several health issues like high cholesterol, high blood pressure and chronic liver and kidney issues. He pops 5 different kinds of pills every day.
A close friend of mine said at my age, I deserved someone much younger, fitter, good looking and with no divorce background. But I am just wowed by his abilities and character. What will you guys do if you were me?
