27 Y.O MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT BETWEEN CAR & VAN @ WOODLANDS, 61 Y.O WOMAN HOSPITALISED

A 27-year-old male driver of a car was killed in a traffic accident involving a van at Woodlands Road yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened along Woodlands Road heading towards Kranji Road on 16 December.

The Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said that there were alerted to the accident on Friday at about 4.30pm.

Both the car and van drivers were conveyed to Ng Teng Fong Hospital – the male car driver was unconscious while the female van driver was conscious.

The 27-year-old car driver later succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

The deceased’s silver car also had its windshield smashed and its bonnet crumpled, with airbags at the front seats being deployed.

The van also sustained damage on its right side.

The police are investigating the accident.
