In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded on a Malaysian highway last Saturday, a 29-year-old woman met a tragic end when her car collided with an illegally parked lorry, killing her on the spot.
The Fateful Journey
The tragedy took place on 2 September at around 7:30 AM on the North-South Expressway, leading towards Melaka, according to China Press.
The victim, identified as Zhu Lishan, was on her way home, having recently dropped off her boyfriend at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). As fate would have it, she decided to make a pit stop along the way.
The shocking collision was captured by Zhu Lishan’s car dashcam, serving as a haunting piece of evidence that her family intends to use in their pursuit of justice.
As she approached a narrow road entrance to the Senawang R&R, two large trucks were parked illegally at the roadside, with one of them protruding further into the road.
Her vision blocked by the truck behind, Zhu Lishan had no time to react, and her vehicle rammed into the rear of the illegally parked lorry, resulting in her untimely death.
Calls for Responsibility
The aftermath of this heart-wrenching incident prompted strong reactions from the public. A concerned Facebook user shared the graphic dashcam footage and additional photos of the crash, emphasizing the irresponsible parking behavior that led to this tragedy.
She urged the owners of the two trucks involved to come forward and take responsibility for their actions, allowing the deceased to rest in peace.
Zhu Lishan’s family, devastated by the loss of their daughter, is determined to seek justice. Zhu Limin, the victim’s older sister, stated that they would initiate legal action against the lorry driver and possibly the company that owns the vehicle.
The dashcam recording will serve as crucial evidence in their quest to hold those responsible accountable for this devastating accident.
Remembering a Life Lost
Beyond the tragedy of the accident, Zhu Lishan had been actively involved in running the family pet store business since her graduation.
Her Chinese boyfriend, who resides in Shanghai, has been informed of the heart-wrenching news and plans to fly over to pay his final respects to his beloved.
