31 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR LOANSHARK HARASSMENT ACTIVITIES

According to a media release, a 31-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in loanshark harassment activities.

The police were alerted to a case of loanshark harassment along Bedok North Road. It was reported that the residential unit was splashed with black paint and a debtor note was left behind.

After investigations, the police established the man’s identity and arrested him on 24 Nov 2020. The man will be charged in court on 26 Nov 2020 under the Money Lender Act.

If convicted, he could be jailed for up to 5 years and fine up to $50,000.
