3,500 LIVE CHICKENS DIE AFTER MASSIVE TRAFFIC JAM AT TUAS CHECKPOINT

There was a serious traffic jam at the Tuas checkpoint for the past two days. Some truck drivers who entered the country complained saying that they were trapped in the car for more than ten hours and more than 3,000 live chickens were suffocated to death. The ICA stated that it will deploy more Multiple resources to manage coronary disease detection at checkpoints.

According to various industry sources, 15 live chicken lorries that departed from Johor, Malaysia to Singapore were stuck at Tuas checkpoint yesterday, and five of them were stuck in the lorry for 11 hours.

The Poultry Merchant’s Association stated that there were 68 live chicken lorries affected, and 17% of them were stuck in traffic for more than ten hours, causing about 3,500 live chickens to suffocate.
