The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reported a total of 412 new cases on 17 December 2021 with a total of one fatality.
Case details
Of the 412 new cases, 371 cases belonged to the local community and six cases belonged to the foreign worker dormitories.
The remaining 35 are imported cases.
Weekly infection growth rate
The weekly infection growth rate is now at 0.63, 0.03 more than what was reported on Thursday when it was at 0.60.
This rate refers to the ratio of community cases of the past week as compared to the week before.
The growth rate has been reported to remain under 1 since 13 November 2021, which indicates that cases are falling.
Total toll
The one fatality today brings the total death toll in Singapore to 809 and the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is now at 275,384.
