A 51-year-old man was sentenced to 23 months of jail after he was found guilty of molesting a 10-year-old girl who he befriended with on Tiktok. The man was charged with one count of using criminal force on a minor to outrage her modesty.
According to court documents, the man has posed as a 25-year-old man to deceived the young girl before he met up with her and brought her to his place where he molested her. Both knew each other through the Titok application earlier this year. The man lied about his aged and told the victim that he loves her.
On 25 Feb 2020, the man proposed to meet with the girl after school the next day which she agreed. The meeting was found out by the victim’s father while looking through her phone when she was asleep. The victim’s father then texted his daughter teacher not to allow her to leave school after her class ends.
However, when the victim’s father went to school the next day he was unable to locate her daughter. He then called the police for assistance to locate her.
At the same time, the man had already picked up the girl from school and brought her to Macdonald’s and the arcade before bringing her back to his place. While they were at the man place, the man molested the girl and told her that it will help her to gain weight as she was too skinny.
He then continued to kiss the girl repeatedly which made her feel uneasy. The girl then expresses her desire to return home. After the girl returned home, the police responded to the case and arrested the man.
