A raid of 7 massage outlets around Little India to Chinatown area left 6 people being arrested for working without permit. These 6 women are around the age of 24 to 48 years old.
The places that the police raided were at Jalan Besar, Dalhousie Lane, Dunlop Street, Mayo Street and Sago Lane and checked on 22 women in the outlets. Those who were investigated were caught for the offences under the Women’s Charter as  well as working without a valid work permit. Investigations are still ongoing.
Other than the 6 arrests, the police have also confiscated 30 massage beds, 10 shower cubicles and other items used by the massage outlets.
