Goh Seow Sian, a 68-year-old Singapore man, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking in Cambodia, along with two other men; Vietnamese Li Jiang Fong, 27-years-old, and Cambodian Taing Leak, 60-years-old.
He was arrested on 25 November during a police raid in the Chamkar Mon and Tuol Kouk districts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
About 24kh of drugs, including Ecstacy, ketamine, and methamphetamine were seized from the houses, as well as the trio’s mobile phones and the alleged drugs-producing equipment.
They were then charged together on 30 November with drug trafficking, possession, and production.
Under Cambodian laws, the trio faces a life sentence in prison upon conviction of their alleged crimes.
At the time of writing, Goh has yet to reach out to Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs but they are aware of his case.
