Wan Farah Shireen Abu Hassan, 33-years-old, was sentenced on 30 November to 4 months and 4 weeks imprisonment for four charges, including voluntarily causing hurt.
Dix more charges were considered during her sentencing, which includes causing harassment.
She had attacked a Grabfood delivery rider with her then-boyfriend; Aloysius Hoe Wei Peng, 40-years-old, because he was cycling between them while they were walking at Waterway Point.
Hoe was earlier sentenced on 31 August for 3 weeks and fined $800 for assault, mischief, and fighting in a public place.
What happened?
The incident happened on 3 February 2020 at around 7.30pm, the couple was walking on the link bridge of Waterway Point when the victim, 31-year-old Daniel Seah cycled in between them.
Farah then shouted at him: “DON’T KNOW HOW TO SAY EXCUSE ME?!”
Asked if she was having PMS
Seah alighted from his bike and asked why she shouted at him, as well as asking if she was having PMS, to which the couple then started cursing at him.
Farah then slapped the Grabfood rider on the head, while Hoe kicked him in the stomach and threw his food bag at him.
Seah raised his hand up to protect himself but Farah continued to swing her hand at his face, which was blocked by the victim.
She then kicked him twice in the stomach and used her handbag to swing at his head numerous times, at which point a security guard then arrived.
Farah then continued to punch the victim in the face until his nose bled, the victim was then convyed to the hospital.
The entire assault was caught on CCTV .
Used found debit card to go shopping
In a separate case for another offence, Farah had used a POSB debit card that she found with a friend; Amirul Afifi Zaimy, 28-years-old, to buy about $160 worth of products.
The debit card was misplaced by the owner at a McDonald’s outlet at Elias Community Club; no restitution has been made to the victim yet.
