FoodPanda has recently announced that they will be starting on the journey to expand their its pandamart operations in Singapore.
As part of its expansion plans, nine new pandamart stores will be set up islandwide with the first of it slated to be at Boon Lay.
Larger space, more varieties
The new store will boast more square metres of space, which means that the store will be bigger and will be able to house more shelves and cold chain facilities for storage purposes and hence it will be able to offer a greater and wider range of fresh food items such as produce, meat and seafood.
Apart from its fresh food offerings, there are also over 5,000 varieties of products available for all consumers from snacks and alcohol to name a few and even household necessities like cleaning products, pet essentials and mother and baby products.
Relocation and upgrading
Some of the smaller and older pandamart stores are also included under the nine stores for relocation and upgrading.
This is to give these stores a competitive edge to fulfill the demands of the areas that they are located in.
Part of the upgrading of these old stores also include the installation of cold chain facilities.
Bringing convenience
By the end of 2021, all pandamart stores will also offer meat and seafood products, making it more convenient for consumers to access greater varieties.
There will also be exciting products coming up from all over the world, such as limited edition potato chips as well as instant noodles of all kinds of flavours that are less common in Singapore.
24/7 stores, 15 minute delivery time
A goal which Foodpanda aims to achieve will be to have all their stores give Singaporeans a 24/7 avenue to get their products from and also to achieve a 15 minute delivery radius to give them a competitive edge over their competitors as demand for quick and convenient on demand grocery delivery grows.
They added that this phase of expansion will reduce delivery time from 24 minutes to 15 minutes and eventually they aim for their pandamart stores to just be like an extension of their consumers kitchen and pantry with everything they want being delivered to them as quickly as possible.
Foodpanda also believes that e-commerce is here to stay, and they aim to fulfill current and future demands with pandamart serving the needs of the consumers.
