A video was uploaded onto social media about an incident involving a wild boar and a motor vehicle that happened on 7 December 2021 around 0023 hours on the Kranji Expressway (KJE).
Upon a closer look at the video footage, it was seen that the wild boar trying to cross from one side of the KJE to the other and in the process was unfortunately knocked down by the cam car.
Build up to incident
The vehicle was travelling along KJE seemingly on the way back after a long day.
Everything seemed fine and normal when suddenly, a voice coming from inside the car exclaimed out after the sudden realisation that the wild boar was running towards their direction.
A loud bang was then heard when the car hit the wild boar.
Probably still shocked from the impact of crashing into the wild animal, a voice in the car could be heard asking “What the F*** was that?!”, before the vehicle moved to the road shoulder to check on what had just happened.
After the vehicle came to a stop, the same voice was heard telling another person in the car that it was a wild boar, and the further conversations that they had became inaudible.
A person then came out of the car to check the front of the vehicle probably to take a look at the impact caused by the knock.
Assistance came to the rescue
A picture was also seen of the cam car and the wild boar probably already dead lying in front of it, seemingly possible that the wild boar was dragged under the vehicle from the spot where it was hit to the road shoulder.
A piece of the front bumper can be seen detached from the vehicle as well.
A police officer, a vehicle from EMAS and several workers were also seen on site in the picture.
