945 NEW CASES ON 14 JAN 2022, 832 OMICRON & ONE DEATH

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reported a total of 945 new cases on 14 January 2022 with one fatality.

Case details

Of the 945 new cases, 582 are local with MOH not reporting the number of cases in the foreign worker dormitories.

The remaining 363 are imported cases.

832 cases are reported to be Omicron cases, with 289 being imported and 543 being local.

Weekly infection growth rate

The weekly infection growth rate is now at 1.38, 0.05 less than what was reported on Thursday when it was at 1.43.

This rate refers to the ratio of community cases of the past week as compared to the week before.

A rate above 1 indicates that weekly cases are on the rise.

Total toll

The one fatality reported today brings the death toll in Singapore at 840 and the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is now at 290,030.
