LTA said that the exercise will be conducted from 10am to 4pm on 7 December, and that commuters should factor in the extra time for screening during their commute.

Factor in extra commute time

Commuters who have larger items may need extra time for security clearances, as commuters will be subjected to metal detector checks and have their belongings go through X-ray machines.

Commuters are also reminded to keep their masks on and not talking.

Exercise Station Guard is an emergency preparedness exercise that is held regularly to strengthen Singapore’s public transport network security by getting the public to become familiar with what they need to do during an emergency situation.
