A video emerged online showing a group of cyclists flouting cycling rules by riding in a group of more than 5 bicycles in length.
They were seen blocking the left turn on the road, apparently because they cannot decide where they want to go.
The camcar then honked at the cyclists, to which the group then got upset and chased down the driver and confronted him.
One of the cyclists then dropped his bicycle in the middle of the road and begun a confrontation with the driver, hitting the car’s bonnet.
The incident happened along Keong Saik Road on 9 January at about 1.38am.
Potential penalties
From 1 Jan 2022, a new regulation will also kick in – cycling groups must not exceed the maximum length of 5 bicycles (or ten cyclists when riding two abreast where permitted).
Errant on-road cyclists will also face a higher composition fine of $150 with effect from 1 Jan 2022.
