The bodies of two 11-year-old boys were found dead at a playground in Upper Bukit Timah yesterday evening (21 January).
The bodies were found at the playground in Greenridge Crescent in Toh Yi, Upper Bukit Timah.
The Singapore Police Force said in a statement earlier today that they received a call for help yesterday at about 6.25pm by the deceased’s father at the Greenridge Crescent playground.
The father’s two 11-year-old twin sons were seen lying motionless near the playground and a paramedic pronounced the boys dead at the scene.
Gurkha officers at the scene combing the forest
According to The Straits Times, officers from the police’s Gurkha Contingent were seen at the scene and combing the forests behind the scene, as well as the canal that runs through the playground.
A resident who was speaking to ST said that they saw police and SCDF vehicles along the street last night at 6.45pm, as well as officers loading two bodies onto a vehicle.
They added that there was a large and deep canal that runs through the playground, as well as a forest behind which is quiet.
At the time of writing, police investigations are ongoing into the case of “unnatural death” of the two boys.
