APPEAL FOR WITNESSES IN HIT & RUN ACCIDENT AT KPE TOWARDS TPE

A Facebook user, 新新张, is appealing for witnesses to come forward if they have any recordings, footages or have witnessed a hit and run accident that happened on the KPE.

The hit and run accident happened on 28 January at about 10.53 pm, on the KPE heading towards TPE, after the Nicoll Highway entrance.

The netizen posted a photo of the crashed vehicle at the site, with its front bumper and side mirror severely smashed.

Shattered glass and parts of the car could be seen scattered all over the road.

We would like to appeal to members of the public who had witnessed this accident on 28 January 2022, at approximately 10.53 pm at KPE (towards TPE) after Nicoll Highway Entrance, to come forward to provide the information/details/video recordings.

Potential penalties

It is a punishable offence to leave the scene of an accident, which is considered a hit-and-run – upon conviction, first-time offenders face a fine of up to $3,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months.
