CROWDS SPOTTED AT EAST COAST PARK IN GROUPS OVER 5 PAX

The Chinese New Year is a 2 days public holiday in Singapore. For those who are not celebrating it is often used to enjoy themselves 2 days of break.

While many of us stay at home to avoid COVID-19, many can’t wait to go and gather in large groups.

A Tik Tok user shared his experience at East Coast Park stating that there are crowds and even made fun of himself.

He stated that he senses a lot of people breaking Covid rules, multiple groups were seen in the video exceeding 5 pax.

Penalties:

First-time offenders who breach safe distancing measures are fined $300.

For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.

If they are caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly they can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months
