A netizen highlighted how a senior citizen corner ends up as a party place and breaks multiple rules including smoking at the void deck and COVID-19 rules.

Here is what the netizen said:

Blk 617, Yishun Ring Road, Senior corner under RC ZONE 5. Nightly gathering with no safe distancing, smoking and littering, drinking, shouting and laughing. Chairs and tables provided by RC without marking for safe distancing.

Continuous dumping of noise and pollution to the residents living in the area could last till 12 am.

This corner has become a nuisance, a pain and an eye sore to residents. A number of these people are not from the community but outsiders. They even have the privilege to use the built-in kitchen provided by the RC.

The zhi Char stall and coffeeshop next block provide them with food and drink too. Wah! A convenient and free place for gathering. What are the objectives of having a senior corner?
