RARE SPOTTED WOOD OWL COUPLE CUDDLING AT PASIR RISK PARK

A netizen shared a few rare photos of two birds who were seen cuddling each other on a tree in a Facebook group.

The photos were shared by Facebook user Ismail Jasman.

The breed of the bird is the spotted wood owl.

The wood owl grows to a length of about 44 to 48 cm (17 to 19 in) with a wing length of 30 to 36 cm (12 to 14 in).

This beauty has a distinctive ‘earless’ head and bold black-barred buffy underparts. It is a medium-sized owl with orange facial disc, dark eyes and no ear tufts.

Birds of Prey is a Facebook group that shares photos of birds and wildlife.

The birds were seen with their eyes close and rubbing each other, netizens says that this is a valentines day for the birds

These animals are rare in Singapore and its best to keep your distance.
