INCOMING M’SIA TRUCK DRIVERS NEED TO SHOW NEGATIVE COVID TEST FROM 24 MAR

On-arrival Covid tests will no longer be the norm for cargo drivers coming into Singapore from Malaysia with effect from 24 March.

According to Straits Times, they will be required to show a valid negative pre-departure test (PDT) result instead, or a proof of recovery from a recent Covid infection.

The PDT will need to be done within 2 days of their departure for Singapore, and it can be used for multiple entries into Singapore as long as it is within the validity period of 2 days.

The PDT will need to be either a PCR test or an ART test done by a professional at an accredited facility in Malaysia.

They must be in English and can be in either hard or soft copy, and must include the drivers’ name, birthdate, passport number, date and time of test, as well as the name of the test provider.
