Co chair of the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) Lawrence Wong said yesterday that the current ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol after 10.30pm at F&B establishments will be lifted with effect from 29 March.
The authorities are also looking at the resumption of nightlife activities.
What is allowed
With effect from 29 March, live performances at all venues will be allowed.
Live broadcast of programmes at F&B establishments 2will be allowed to be screened.
Outdoor live performances such as busking will be allowed.
Large scare activities with socialising such as gala dinners, birthday celebrations and anniversaries will be allowed.
However, the activities will need to adhere to the 10 per-group rule and comply with the existing safe management measures.
KTV, nightclubs and etc
Wong said that the authorities are looking into the resumption of other nightlife activities such as bars, KTVs and nightclubs, because these are “activities with higher risk of transmission”. and that it is “more difficult to comply with the SMMs in these settings”.
He said that an update will be provided on the nightlife sector in the weeks to come.
