SPORT S’PORE STAFF AWARDED BY SCDF FOR SAVING COLLAPSED MAN

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) awarded 4 Sport Singapore staff for saving and resuscitating a man suffering a cardiac arrest.

The man was not breathing and had no pulse and the team immediately commenced CPR on him, and he eventually regained consciousness, and his pulse returned.

Here is what SCDF said

[Four Sport Singapore staff successfully resuscitated a cardiac arrest patient]

On the afternoon of 15 Feb 2022, Sport Singapore staff Mr Guo Ze, Mr Luo Shiwei, Mr Kow Heng Bee and Ms Lee Pei Shan were alerted to a man who had collapsed at Kallang Basin Swimming Complex.

Upon assessing that the man was not breathing and had no pulse, the team immediately conducted Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and used an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on him before SCDF’s arrival. The man’s pulse returned and he eventually regained consciousness.

On Monday, 28 Mar 2022, the four lifesavers were each awarded the SCDF Community Lifesaver Award by COL Shaiful Herman Bin Shali, Commander, 1st SCDF Division.
