SECRET SOCIETY MEMBER PLEADS GUILTY AFTER ATTACKING POLICE OFFICER

Singapore is well known throughout the world as a peaceful society but sometimes we do see negative incidents in the news.

A violent incident occurred between a pair of twin brothers and police officers. 28-year-old Muhammad Fiqkri Jaffri and his twin brother Muhammad Farhan Jaffri attacked a Police officer causing a traumatic head injury.

During the arrest, Fiqkri headbutted another Policeman causing a fractured, Strait Times reported.

Background

The incident happened back on the 23 Feb 2020 at Block 755 Jurong West Street 74 at about 4AM.

The Police were alerted after Farhan and his wife had an argument, four officers arrived at said location only to get vulgarities hurled at by Farhan.

Fiqkri who stayed nearby arrived on the scene and started to approach the officers in an aggressive manner demanding to know what the officers want with Farhan.

Farhan continued his verbal abuse against one of the officers and later told Fiqkri that he did not like the face of one of the officers.

Fiqkri then kept asking Farhan if he wanted him to attack the officer before the twin brothers got violent.

Admit that he is a Secret Society Member

The twin brother started to attack one of the officers causing a head injury and the other officers had to use a baton to stop the fight. The officer was later given 29 hospitalisation leave for his grave injury.

During the incident, Fiqkri started to taunt one of the Police officers stating that he is a member of a secret society.

During the arrest, Fiqkri headbutted one of the officers in the face causing a fracture in the nose, even after getting into a Police vehicle he refused to calm down and kicked the vehicle’s door causing damage.

Fiqkri will be back in court on May 23 for his sentencing.

His twin brother Farhan was previously sentenced to 33 months and four weeks in jail along with 3 strokes of the rotan and a fine of SGD$3,500.
