Yet another fatal accident has been reported, a cyclist was knocked down by a lorry and later succumbed to his wounds.
According to Zaobao, The fatal road accident happened at 5 pm yesterday (April 16) at the section of Jalan Eunos towards Eunos Link.
Photos of the accident were circulating on social media, a cyclist fell on the ground about two meters away from the zebra crossing, and an ambulance was performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him.
In responses to media enquires, the 64-year-old victim was unconscious after accident, he later succumbed to his injuries at Chang General hospital.
Arrest
A 27-year-old man has been arrested for reckless driving causing death
The man can be charged under section 64 of the Road Traffic Act for causing death by dangerous driving. Which can result in a jail offence of up to 8 years.
