TRACETOGETHER NO LONGER NEEDED IN MOST PLACES FROM 26 APRIL

Minister of Health Ong Ye Kung made an announcement yesterday during the Multi-Ministry Taskforce press conference that TraceTogether will no longer be required in most places, with effect from 26 April.

Also, vaccination differentiated safe management measures will also be scrapped from all venues, except for places with high risks.

According to Straits Times, VDS will still be needed for larger events with more than 500 participants at any one time, nightlife establishments where dancing is involved, and F&B outlets.

This is because these places are potential super-spreader events and vaccination and test status will still be required.

According to CNA, VDS will still be required for restaurants, coffeeshops and hawker centres; however SafeEntry check-ins will no longer be needed.

Random spot checks will also be conducted by enforcement officers and staff members.

Trace Together will also be stepped down as a contact tracing tool and Health Risk Notices will also stop being issued.
