Maricris Abad Santos Albert, or Cris Albert, the 52-year-old CEO of Fila Philippines, was found dead at the Fullerton Bay Hotel on 23 April.
The mother of two led the famous sportswear company since 2007, and she is also the president of Isport Life, Athlete’s Gym and Dive; as well as the founder of MA Holdings.
She was reportedly attending a function last Friday evening, held at the Fullerton Bay Hotel.
The Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force were alerted to the incident on Saturday at about 1.05am, at 80 Collyer Quay.
She was found lying motionless at the scene when the authorities arrived and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
The police are currently investigating the case as unnatural death, according to a spokesperson for the police.
Fila Philippines confirmed her passing in a Facebook post yesterday (25 April), with a statement from Abad Santos and the Albert families saying:
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing on Saturday, 23 April 2022, of Fila Philippines CEO and owner, Ms. Cris Albert.
Her family appeals to everyone to respect their privacy as they grieve in this time of immense loss. Details of her wake will be shared soon.”
