Comedian Dave Chappelle was reportedly attacked and tackled by a man who rushed onto the stage during his stand-up show at the Hollywood Bowl during the Netflix Is a Joke festival.
The assailant was chased down by security guards and overpowered, as Chappelle continued with his show.
The attacker was later sent to the hospital in an ambulance after reportedly being roughed up by the comedian’s security team.
Jamie Foxx also had a hand in fighting off the attacker, with Chappelle returning to the stage and saying “whenever you’re in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff’s hat”.
Comedian Chris Rock, who was slapped by Will Smith on stage during the Oscars back in March, then took the stage alongside Chappelle, asking “was that Will Smith?”

Suddenly a random person sitting in the front row jumped on stage and ran straight at him. He tackled Dave and they both went to the floor and began wrestling when everyone ran onstage to help, including Dave’s security…
The man was then grabbed by a number of people and taken back stage and probably didn’t make it out alive for all we know. Dave then came out from the back and this is where the video starts…
