After the worldwide pandemic which affected many businesses, things are starting to go back to normal.
The Changi Airport Terminal 5 project was paused in the last 2 years and the project will resume soon.
According to The Strait Times, Transport Minister S.Iswaraan said that the project will resume construction in two to three years’ time and the new terminal will be operational ready around the 2030s.
In his speech at Changi Aviation Summit, he stated that the current and projected air travel demand has reignited the need for more infrastructure.
A really big terminal

In previous reports, the Changi Airport Terminal 5 is set to have the size of 667 football fields.
In an image illustration from Changi Airport group, it shows that the new terminal 5 is bigger than all the current terminals combined.
Once the project is completed, the airport is set to handle more than 50 million passengers a year.
