I’m a guy so my best female friend and I have had some relationship problems in the past, but this might have been the tipping point for me.
We met when we were 15 and I knew that she was in love with me for a while, she asked me out and I said no, after that her feelings past (or so I thought) we remained friends. When we were 16 we became best friends and that was kind of the high point of our friendship.
When we were 21 is kind of when the problems started brewing. She had a very difficult time, she became kind of overprotective and possesive for a while. When I did something she thought was risky, she would call me a ton of times. When I started dating my girlfriend at the time, she said things to the effect of be careful she might be using me, she had a full on mental breakdown at a party when I told her I had S with my girlfriend because she didn’t trust her, she also told me that one of my friends who I was getting closer to might be using me. At one point she burned bridges with a lot of our friends, so I was one of the few she had left. Once we were on a festival and we shared a bed and she would get closer than was appropriate and that I was comfortable with, though I never said anything. We didn’t hang much for a few months after all that.
That brings us to this year, she seemd to have really grown alot and got herself together, she got herself some new friends. I kept myself at a little bit of a distance from her so that our relationship would flow back into healthier waters, but she really seemd alot better and I was super happy for her because I really did care about her.
Drunk
This last week, however, we had our last day of school and we all bought booze and went drinking in this park nearby. She got super super wasted fast and confessed to me that she had a boyfriend and I was happy for her. She then put her head on my lap which I was comfortable with.
Then she started saying how his boylfriend and me are the two most important men in her life and she started kissing my thigh, like light pecks on my thigh, but alot of them and I got very uncomfortable very quickly. I then got up and told her I was going to talk to some other friends and she begged me stay a few more minutes and then I did while she drunkely rambles and at one point asks me If she is a bad girlfriend.
I walked away later, 20 minutes pass and she’s throwing up for a third time and I decide i really need to take her home. We go to the edge of park, I order her a grab and we sit on a bench, she then puts her head on my shoulder which was fine, but then she kisses my neck. I kind of freeze in shock and thankfully the grab arrives. I get her in there and go back to the party. The next day I send her a text that she made me uncomfortable and she thought it was because she told me she had a boyfriend.
Don’t get me wrong, I really care about her and we’ve known each other for a long time and we have had some truly great times together, but this might have been the last straw for me. I gave her a second chance once before and I don’t know if I could do it again.
I’m confused and kind of sad and dont really know what to do now about her. Any and all advice appreciated.
