BODIES OF ALL 22 VICTIMS OF TARA AIR PLANE CRASH RECOVERED

All 22 people on board the ill-fated Tara Air plane that crashed into a Himalayan mountainside on Sunday, have reportedly perished.

An official said earlier today that the bodies of all 22 people on board, including the passengers and crews, have been recovered.

A spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Deo Chandra Lal Karna, spoke to Reuters, saying that rescuers have recovered all 22 bodies from the crash site.

21 bodies were retrieved from the wreckage by Nepali soldiers and rescue workers, with the last body being recovered this morning.

The bodies were reportedly strewn across a steep slope at an altitude of about 14,500 feet.

10 of the bodies were brought to Kathmandu yesterday, with the remaining 12 flown into the capital today.

Karna added that the bodies will be sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem before being handed over to their families for identification.
