The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a statement on Facebook that they carried out week-long operations at 20 areas and caught more than 120 errant riders.
Among them were offenders who rode their PABs and PMDs on the footpaths and roads, as well as a few cyclists riding bicycles without a handbrake, which are all illegal.

Our enforcement officers continue to regularly patrol the island to engage active mobility riders. Errant ones they encounter will also be taken to task. Â #KeepPathsSafe.

#StaySafeRideSafe More than 120 errant riders were caught during the week-long operations. Among these offenders, a number of them were caught riding their PABs and PMDs on footpaths. Some were also riding PMDs on roads. A few cyclists were riding bicycles without a handbrake. These actions are all illegal.
#Reminder For your safety and that of other path users, we urge all active mobility riders to ensure that your devices are compliant and that you only ride on designated paths. PABs can be used on the road and cycling paths but PMDs are confined to cycling paths only.
