A netizen, David Siow Peng Guan, shared how he bought a plate of satay and when it arrived, the meat sticks were charred.

Siow that that he purchased the satays from a stall called “City Satay” and he tagged Satay By The Bag in his Facebook posts.
He claimed that he asked the stall about the satays and they allegedly told him “that’s how it should be cooked”.
Here is what he said
“when ask if the food should be cook in that way, seller said “that’s how it should be cooked”.
It was bought at stall called “City Satay”….. Such a disappointment….”
