The biggest nightclub in Singapore, Marquee, reopened last night (1 July) and saw throngs of people visiting the nightclub on their reopening.
Videos of the crowd situation inside and outside the club emerged online, showing the place being packed like sardines.
Marquee is currently operating at full capacity, with long winding queues to enter the nightclub, located beside the Sands Theatre at The Shoppes in MBS.
The club was previously closed in March 2020 due to the deteriorating pandemic situation back then, and has since reopened.
MOH previously announced that with effect from 14 JUne, patrons will no longer need to produce a negative ART test result to enter these venues.
The capacity limits have also been lifted for nightlife establishments with dancing, although vaccination differentiated measures continue to be in force.
Patrons are also required to put on a mask while dancing on the dance floor.
