The district police chief of Iskandar Puteri, Rahmat Ariffin, said in a statement released earlier today that a Singaporean woman and man were arrested last night (14 July) at the Sultan Abu Bakar Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security Complex, which is the Malaysia side of the Second Link, the immigration checkpoint.
The two persons arrested were the mother and son duo who were involved in an infamous road rage incident that happened at the Tuas Second Link last week.
The statement mentioned that the two suspects had admitted that they were involved in the road rage incident, where they got upset because their car was allegedly blocked and scraped.
Rahmat said on Sunday that the driver of the MPV was not injured and his car suffered minor damages and that he was returning to Singapore with his family from residential development, Forest City in Johor when the now-infamous incident happened.
The Johor police also said that the woman is a Malaysian who is a Singapore permanent resident.
