11TH MONKEYPOX CASE IN S’PORE CONFIRMED – A 32 Y.O S’POREAN MAN

The Ministry of Health confirmed Singapore’s 11th case of monkeypox infection, with the latest case being a 32-year-old Singaporean man.

He had tested positive for the virus on 26 July and is not linked to the previous infection cases.

The man had developed a fever about 2 weeks ago on 12 July, before having rashes on his groin area, which spread around his body.

However, it was only until 26 July when he sought medical attention and he was then conveyed to the NCID on the same day.

MOH said that they are currently doing contact tracing with all his contacts, and added that the man is in stable condition.

Singapore’s total count of monkeypox infections currently stands at 11 cases, at the time of writing.
