A video emerged online showing a kind-hearted samaritan helping an elderly cardboard collector with his cardboard on the road.
The netizen, @snezams, shared the video onto TikTok, showing him stopping his car at the side of the road at a bus stop along Paya Lebar Road.
He then went to the elderly man and asked if he could help him as it was going to rain soon.
He captioned his video:
“I am grateful today. I was given a chance to do something I always wanted. And today is the day. I told him. It’s gonna rain. Please let me help you. I would be really honoured.”
“I’m so happy that he agreed. Here comes another kind human helping me too.
This video is not a purpose to show everyone my act of kindness, but a message to everyone. That you won’t know the person you help might be at the lowest point of his/her life where they got no one to turn to.”
“So please at least give that someone a helping hand if they ask from you. Because you never know if tomorrow you are still able to help them again.”
