Mom wants to do some renovation to the house like sanding and re-painting the wall for our hdb, as it is my first time doing this, I have so many questions, and also I don’t know if I have missed any question. Any advice is appreciated!
- Renovation company said the process is extremely dusty, and they will wrap everything in the house up to prevent dust. Is there any kind of insurance we can purchase to protect my home work station and other valuables like the TV for example? Or is it better to move them out to a temporary storage or something until the renovation is over?
- The renovation might take a few weeks, what would be the best option for me to move to for the short duration? I require a place that I can wash my clothes + has good and secure internet as I mostly WFH. I am not able to fork out big bucks for 5 star hotels. What would you recommend?
- How to find out if a renovation company is good and price is reasonable? Should I call as many renovation company I found on Google down to give me a quote? Or is there some local forum that has reviews on these renovation companies? Heard of too many rogue renovation companies who likes to quote much higher than usual for the renovation works and would like to avoid that for my own renovation.
For now I can only think of these 3 questions. Quite worried for the renovation. Again any answer and advice is appreciated!
