Is this co-worker toxic? How can I help?
I had to work closely with a co-worker who’s extremely rude to customers when she’s having a bad mood, hurl vulgarities, loves to grumble and complain about others co-workers mistakes and low efficiency.
I realised that she always have something bad to say about someone..also she is easily triggered and gets angry.
Sometimes I don’t even find it a big problem but she would trip and even have anger gestures like banging the table.
The words she spoke about others are seldom nice, she uses words like ” stupid, idiot, f, etc ….”
I sensed other fellow co-workers are uneasy with that behavior but condone it anyways, perhaps because she can be trusted in her duties despite her behavior, and she is considered a senior staff..
I am naturally a neutral person, and I hope to see the good in people and not judge things by the surface.
I know deep inside, this person has a kind side.. but it can be quite a challenge working with her due to her temperamental unstability.
How do I help this colleague to make our work environment more positive?
