The incident happened on 13 September at about 10pm, at the Burger King outlet in ESR BizPark, where the worker who allegedly has special needs, was shouted at and scolded for at least 10 minutes, according to the netizen who filmed it.

The TikToker captioned his video (SIC):

“Was dining in Burger King ERS Bizpark in Bedok on Tuesday night 10pm, the one next to Decathlon and saw this awful sight of an uncle reprimanding this autism/special staff loudly in a corner for at least 10 minutes while I was eating.

Had a touch time digesting my food cause of whatever is happening at that corner, this shouldn’t be a way to teach someone of special needs.

Uncle was repeatedly scolding at the top of his voice which frustrates me.

I know he has difficulty understanding, but to shout at him and even had your hand gesture wanting “to slap” him, poor staff was trembling.

FYI, many scolding happened even before I decided to record this cause i was upset, couldn’t even eat in peace, it was louder in real life. SMH

That person is here working wanting to have a salary of his own but top have this kind of guidance is absure, even the manager who was at the counter serving “zero” customer didn’t do anything about the loud scolding.

Perhaps it’s not the first time?

I’m just furious, that why wouldn’t things be talked in a better way to an autism person. They’re just another person wanting to work and live a normal life.

I’m not here to get anyone fired, but pls change on how you talk or handle situations like this to a special needs person.”
