A small hole was seen in the box that was stored on a top shelf of the supermarket, with the rat wriggling, appearing to be stuck in the hole.

The netizen then panned the camera down to reveal the surroundings of the area, with shoppers walking around.

The netizen responded to comments, revealing that it was taken at Scarlett Supermarket and that she had informed the staff about what she had just seen.

Scarlett Supermarket has since apologised for the incident and said on Sunday that they have been made aware of the sighting of the rat.
