A 61-year-old driver is assisting the police with investigations after an 11-year-old boy who was crossing the road, was hit by a car in Sengkang, according to Shin Min Daily News.
The accident happened on 16 November at about 2.38pm, along Compassvale Drive.
A resident who lived nearby, Mr Xu, spoke to SMDN and said that he heard cries and later found out that a boy was lying on the road with blood on his face.
Passers-by went over to help him and an ambulance arrived at the scene after about 5 to 10 minutes, and he was then conveyed to the hospital.
Xu said that there was a red car that was parked nearby, and the driver of the car alighted from the vehicle to check on the situation and that there were no passengers in his car at the time.
It is believed that the boy was crossing the road to take the bus at the time near the accident site.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed that an 11-year-old boy was conveyed to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital conscious, and that a 61-year-old man is assisting the police with their investigations.
