The stadium was seen riddled with rubbish and used food containers, with many of the fans leaving behind rubbish after the match.

However, a group of Japanese fans were seen staying behind after the game to clean up the stadium before leaving, picking up all the rubbish and loading them into rubbish bags.

A Japanese fan was seen in the video going through the rows of seats to pick up the rubbish, as the netizen then approached them to ask why they were cleaning up the stadium.

One of the fans then told him “we are Japanese, we do not leave rubbish behind, we respect the place.”

A Japanese netizen commented on the video, quoting a Japanese proverb: “A bird does not foul the nest it is about to leave.”
