An accident took place on 24 November at about 6am, when a grey sedan crashed into a bus stop along River Valley Road.
However, when the police arrived at the scene, all they found was the wreckage of the crashed car – the driver was nowhere to be seen.
The bus stop was also seen significantly destroyed, with the safety bollards, benches and pillars being severely damaged.
The police said that they were searching for the missing.
Missing driver found
The police confirmed with Shin Min Daily News that they eventually found the missing driver, a 47-year-old woman.
She had left the scene on her own after the accident and before the arrival of the police, which was why the police couldn’t find her when they arrived.
The driver had reportedly gone to a hospital for treatment for her injuries.
She is currently assisting the police with their investigations, although the police didn’t reveal what kind of injuries she suffered or how she sent herself to the hospital without her car.
The police added that the accident arose from the car skidding.
