On top of limiting the purchase each consumer can purchase, they are also urging customers to only purchase what they really need.

Other alternatives available

A FairPrice spokesperson said that beyond the current limited products, they are also offering other medications for fever, cough and flu from similar brands to ensure that consumers would be able to get the medicines which they require.

Panadol’s manufacturer Haleon also mentioned that the factories are already producing ‘record amounts’ of Panadol and they are looking into increasing the supplies for the medication.

Shortage reportedly due to people purchasing and sending it to China

It was also said that the increase in demand for flu and cold related products was because the products purchase were sent to China.

Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) also urged the public to only purchase what they need for their personal usage and they are also watching the situation closely as well as working in hand with retailers that supplies are available for all Singaporeans.
