I’m not proud of what I did, but I was so scared my wife was cheating on me that I installed a CCTV camera at home.
It all started when I noticed that she was spending more time away from home and was often on her phone. She would always make up excuses, but I was always suspicious.
So one day, I decided to take matters into my own hands and bought a CCTV camera. I installed it in our bedroom and kept a watchful eye on her from then on.
I had no idea what I was going to do if I caught her cheating, but I just wanted to make sure she wasn’t doing anything behind my back.
The camera recorded everything that happened in our bedroom, and I was able to log in from anywhere to check what was happening.
I was so paranoid that I kept checking up on her every few hours. I was convinced that I was going to catch her red-handed, but the weeks passed and nothing happened.
I began to realize that I was being unreasonable and that my wife was probably just going through a hard time. I felt guilty for invading her privacy and decided to take the camera down.
She eventually found out about what I did and created a ruckus and I felt embarrassed that I had allowed myself to go to such extremes.
I know that I should have trusted her but I really cannot help it at times thinking that she would cheat on me because she is much younger than me and also quite good looking while I am turning into the age where people would call me ‘Uncle’.
I should learn to trust her and our relationship.
